Honesty is the best policy.

It was this principle that pushed Ms. Milrose P. Espina, the sales personnel of General Santos City High School Teachers and Employees Consumers Cooperative (GSCHS-TECCO) to return the wallet left by a customer in the Cooperative Canteen on July 19, 2011 at General Santos City High School.

During the Schools Division Parent Teachers Association (PTA) Federation Election held at General Santos City High School’s Audio-Visual Room (GSCHS-AVR), Mrs. Edna M. Balajadia, a resident of Uhaw, General Santos City and the PTA president of Upper Tambler Elementary School II, unconsciously left her wallet at the canteen with a cash of P17,550.00 and sets of jewelry approximately amounting to P60,000.00.

Ms. Milrose P. Espina, resident of GensanVille, General Santos City and a 19 years old sales personnel turned over the said wallet to proper authorities without any second thought of keeping it for personal benefit.

Moreover, Teachers Cooperative, PTA and General Santos City High School expressed their appreciation for the exemplary attitude of Milrose.
