Not one, but three.

With the rising population of 9,656 students and 304 teachers, General Santos City National High School (GSCNHS) continues to expand and is considered to be the biggest school in terms of students' population in Region XII.

Through the joint forces of DepEd, Public-Private Partnership and Basic Education Facilities Fund (BEFF) one three-storey and two two-storey buildings were turned over to GSCNHS  to cater the needs of a growing school.

The three classroom buildings were presently occupied by the Special Program in the arts (SPA), Fourth Year and Grade 9 students respectively.

Hon. Mayor Ronnel C. Rivera, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Mario M. Bermudez, Principal Angelito C. Llanos, teachers and parents graced the turn-over ceremony at the school's Taiwan Hall on August 1, 2014.

"We must unite to nurture the education of our children," Mayor Rivera quipped during the program.

Meanwhile, ASDS Bermudez remarked that  Barangay Calumpang is blessed with supportive stakeholders, parents, teachers and staff and challenged everyone to take part in  continuously making GSCNHS as a division leader school.

"Let work hand in hand to provide a safe environment to all the students of City High," encouraged the school principal Angelito C. Llanos.

Moreover, the program also highlighted the induction of the School Governing Council (SGC), General Parents Teachers Association (GPTA) and Homeroom PTA Presidents.
