Care for a free throw, dunk or a three-point shot with a plastic bottle?

In front the school's Pres. Diosdado Macapagal building stood the white metal-casted trash bin with a hole on top resembling a basketball ring jam-packed with all sorts of plastic bottles caught the attention of students, teachers and visitors.

The "Shoot your Empty Plastic Bottle" is a project of Youth for Environment and School's Organization (YES-O) in line with DepEd order number 93 series of 2011 emphasizing on the need for proper segregation and disposal of waste.

School Principal Angelito C. Llanos, as the brainchild of this project, urged everyone to help maintain the cleanliness of the school campus through depositing all the plastic bottles in the giant trash bin.

YES-O Coordinator Dante C. Arboleda, during an interview, remarked that collected plastic bottles will be sold to junk shops and proceeds will be intended for the procurement of big trash cans to be placed on conspicuous places in the campus.

Arboleda further encouraged all the City Highians to be environment-friendly by practicing proper waste segregation and disposal.
