GSCHS bags awards

Thirteen students from General Santos City High School (GSCHS) bagged awards in the 7th Regional Student Technologists and Entrepreneurs of the Philippines (STEP) Skills Development and Competition held in Kidapawan City, on Oct. 23-26.

Genevieve Mutya awed the audience with her beauty, bearing and wit as she was hailed Ms. STEP after owning the following awards: Best in Production Number, Best in Ethnic Wear, Best in Technology Attire, and Best in Filipiniana Attire. Meanwhile, Amirel Dugasan, who was Best in Interview was proclaimed 1st runner up.

Likewise, Janine Mae Magbanua and Romie John Rupinta were declared first place in Mural Painting, Louie Padao ranked second in Homepage Development, Paul Ericson Seno got the same rank in AM Radio Assembly and Erine Gale Dejecacion got the third place in Newsletter in Desktop Publishing.
On the other hand, the team composed of Levi Lloyd Baluso, Valerie Imee Fano, Jessica Llego, Jether Gil Orendain, and Donnaville Delfin was automatically declared to contend in Business Planning for the national level after undergoing a panel interview.

The first placers in the various events both in secondary level and elementary levels will compete in the National STEP Skills Competition in Davao City on Nov. 19–21.
